For the past 6 months to a year, I've mainly been working on physical artworks. Honestly I just needed a break from the CTRL-Z grind.

For some reason I've always thought of Newgrounds as being mainly for digital art only, but I realized quite recently that, that needn't be the case. So I'm currently trying to upload a bunch of my physical artwork I did over the past year to my account, hopefully some of y'all will like it :)

A neat thing I've found when doing so much physical art is that it has broken the digital art block I've had for quite a while :P

I've recently been trying to organize my projects and ideas, and it's starting to overwhelm me. This combined with an increased workload, I need to figure out a way to work on stuff I actually have a passion for without collapsing into sleeping for 18 hours a day.

There's so many things I want to do, yet so little time. I can't focus on anything and I end up watching youtube videos instead... I don't have the mental capacity to participate in jams of any kind and I keep trying to start new projects instead of finishing the current ones. Whenever I need to put in work I just procrastinate.

I need to change how i approach my passions in life. I don't know how that would look. I don't like the idea of a Kanban board since it would just become an overwhelming wall of to-do's and backlogs. But maybe some kind of point system?

Either way it's not a productive headspace I'm in, I need to change my ways. If someone has any idea, I'm all ears.

Ok so aside from my annual workplace performance review and a small dip into depression and stuff, I've also managed to make various things:

• I participated in Ludum Dare jam 52, (sadly the LDjam website have been completely F$@#ed by spammers so I can't link to games posted there :( )

Holy hell, talk about deadline overload -_- that'll teach me not to join Ludum Dare 51 AND having to finish my RE2 collab contribution AND setting up workshops at my job AND finishing a bunch of deliverables too ontop all in the same week/weekend.

To say that I'm spend is an understatement. Still I survived, and now it's onto the sketch collab! :D and then the Game Off 2022 Jam. (I PRAY, that the theme won't suck as hard as it did at LD51 -_- seriously "Every 10 seconds", some people have shit taste I guess)

Anyway I'm not dead yet. Hopefully I can manage to also squeeze in some monster art for Halloween :D

Hoooooh boy, deciding to try and participate in a 3 day gamejam, 1 day already into THE game jam sure made the whole thing a bit... crunched,

The game is probably awful, scratch that, I know it's awful 😖 still it was an enourmously fun thing to make 😀 and I'm happy to have done it

Aaaaaahhh honestly it's so nice having an extended weekend AS well as taking time off from everything and just unplugging :D

It's definitely something I'd recommend, for anyone who feels too stressed about personal projects and work.

You have to remind yourself that you're making art to make you happier. When that's not the case, it's time to take a break and a deep breath.

It does feel a bit selfindulgent to announce everything you do, but I also want to counter the constant narrative of working till you're burnt out at the ripe ol' age of 26, It's probably not needed to be heard for everyone, but hopefully at least one person who needs to hear it, will hear it :D

This isn't some goodbye post to my 7 followers (wooo :D) But I have to admit having made "Buttin In" and then "Ballfrog - Sticking the landing" has left me needing a couple of days rest. Ballfrog expecially wrecked my shit, I made that whole thing in under 4 days :|

It's really shitty though 'cause I always feel bad about taking breaks or days off, since then I'm not on the Sigma Grindset 24/7/420/365*69 but honestly... well fuck that shit.

Everyone needs breaks, it's just matter of whether you'll volunteer time yourself or if you reach a point where you don't have much of a choice anymore. I think I'm gonna sleep, play some vidya, exercise a bit and try and see some friends :D

Making Buttin In was mainly a way of trying to apply a lot of the corner cutting techniques. I really need to limit the scope of my animations after I start working on them. Coming up with additional stuff to put in, always adds on more work. Still... it is really nice seeing the finished product. Also I pray to any higher power that may listen that Opentoonz and Tahoma2D gets better color fill support for vectors.

The music was done in a sorta improvised way, basically just loading the animation into Reaper and then noodling away with MIDI's or on the Guitar. I think Ed Edd N' Eddy did a similar thing with their soundtrack.

Also... the next thing I do CANNOT involve any trains. I feel like I'm becoming the Train guy -_-

Oh boy, what a couple of crazy years, moving, new job, quitting school, finishing my latest animation.

Here's to hoping that life stops moving quuuuite that fast.

It's kindda weird making and finishing an animation, I'm still not used to the feeling.

It's a bit of an empty excitement, now I think I'm just gonna play some vidya and relax before doing anything else.
